Worth twelve of you

This is a several days after Harry tells Neville that he is worth twelve of Malfoy.

This was probably the first time that Neville stood up for himself. It is not easy to stand up for oneself against a bully, especially when you have such low self-esteem, like Neville did, no thanks to his grandmother. She was after all always comparing him to father and demeaning him. Neville using his father's wand didn't really help his self-esteem. As it turns out that it was not that he was bad at magic, it was just that the wand had not chosen him and was not compatible with him. He is one of my most favorite characters, in the way he turned out to be. From being kicked around to be kicking. --AA
