Rita Skeeter throws Ludo's trial in Hermione's face saying if Hermione knew it would curl her hair. The fact that no one besides Crouch seems to be taking this trial very seriously, and Bagman gets off without a punishment makes it not quite as scandalous as Rita made it out to be.
