Upper Barnton seems to just be a historical name; today no such city exists in Britain, though there is a Barnton near Liverpool which may or may not be the same town. Regardless, in the 1400s Upper Barnton was the home of a famous nasty giant named Hengist who was killed by Gifford Ollerton (fw).
