Egypt, in northeastern Africa, is a country steeped in magical history. When Ron travels there with his family, he relays stories of unbelievable curses the old Egyptian wizards put on tombs, and Hermione calls the ancient wizards “fascinating” (PA1). Even in more recent times, Elphias Doge‘s around-the-world tour upon leaving Hogwarts included a stop to see the Egyptian alchemists (DH2).
Bill Weasley worked as a curse breaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Egypt before taking a desk job in London instead (OP4). It was while Bill was working in Egypt that the entire Weasley family visited him and toured the pyramids (PA1).
Both the Phoenix and the Sphinx are native to Egypt (FB).
Newt Scamander rescued a Thunderbird in Egypt which had been trafficked and kept in captivity chained by the leg. He named it Frank and sailed to America hoping to release him into the wilderness of Arizona, but ended up letting him out of his suitcase in New York City (WFT).

Notes
As they had a team play in the finals of the Quidditch World Cup (Pm) and the Chairwizard of the International Association of Quidditch in 1994 (GF8) was also from Egypt (Hassan Mostafa), it is apparent that the country has an active wizarding community.
From the Web
Although Egypt is extremely ancient, historic and magical, no wizarding activities are listed in its Wikipedia entry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egypt).
