Barty Crouch Jr. (while disguised as Moody) summons Dobby to the staffroom on the pretense of collecting dirty laundry and then makes sure the elfs hears him having a very loud discussion with McGonagall about the second task and the possibility of Harry using gillyweed to complete it (GF26, GF35).
