In 1422, the Wigtown Wanderers Quidditch team is formed by the four sons and three daughters of Walter Parkin, a butcher from Wigtown in Scotland (QA7).
Walter would stand on the sidelines with a wand on one hand and a meat cleaver in the other, something which inevitably intimidated any opposing teams. The team’s logo includes the cleaver (QA7).
Those of his children who played as Chasers are said to have invented the Parkin’s Pincer move, where two Chasers together block a Chaser from the other team – allowing their third Chaser to fly directly towards the goal (QA10).
