Commentary

Etymology

Mervyn (Merfyn) is a Welsh boy's name of uncertain meaning, which can also be used as a surname (Behind the Name). Merfyn Frych was King of Gwynedd during the Ninth Century (Wikipedia).

Fenwick is a surname from the English-Scottish borders area and derives from fen "marshland, water meadow" and pre 7th Century English wic "dwelling place, dairy farm, landing place (Internet Surname Database).
