The Harry Potter Lexicon is created

The site is initially intended as a collection of references for users of the “Harry Potter for Grown Ups” online discussion group. Steve Vander Ark is the site’s only staff member for three years until the publication of Order of the Phoenix, when the sheer amount of new material makes it necessary to bring on a second editor, Michele Worley. Because of the slow internet speeds at that time, the site was originally all text.
