“You really think that he can kill the great–can kill Albus Dumbledore?”
Krall pays with his life because of this doubt. He may have made his question even worse by letting slip that he believes Albus Dumbledore is great. It brings to mind Ollivander's comments about Voldemort being great, yet terrible.
