“’C-constant vigilance,”’ said Hermione, mopping her eyes.
“That’s right,” said Ron, nodding. “He’d tell us to learn from what happened to him. And what I’ve learned is not to trust that cowardly little squit, Mundungus.”
Definition
“Constant vigilance” was a favorite saying of Mad-Eye Moody, the ex-Auror who was famous for never letting his guard down. Some thought that his exaggerated caution was an overreaction, but Moody would say that it kept him alive.
