Savannah

Savannah is the oldest city in the state of Georgia, and the original capital. The seaport was used strategically during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Savannah became a ghost tour sensation after the publication of the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt. There are cobblestone streets and many historic buildings and graveyards going back to British colonial days. Pirates also once frequented the shores there spurring tales of buried treasure.
