A Wizarding Pure-blood family, listed in the ‘Pure-Blood Directory’ (c. 1930) as one of the ‘Sacred Twenty-Eight’ families (Pm). Notable members of this family include the Death Eater Avery who attended Hogwarts with Severus Snape and another man named Avery who attended Hogwarts with Tom Riddle
